Her passion for innovation and digital health has seen her participate in several digital health forums accross South Africa including; ICT4Health, Health Innovation conferences and Global Healthcare innovation forums. (See www.oopz.co.za). She was also part of select group of health technopreneurs that won and participate in Discovery Health’s Inaugural Innovation trip to Israel in 2017.
She is a dedicated wife to “Dennis” – an Executive with a background in project management, infrastructure and facilities management and a holder of a Masters degree in Commerce. A loving mother to three children in their 20s and 30s – A high functioning Autistic son “Kopano” flanked by two daughters – Dr Malebo – a medical doctor specializing in child health & travel medicine. She is also a grandmom to a highly opinionated grandchild Bohlale and cutie baby Mehluli-The Conquerer.
The Matriarch is her icon and inspiration – Dr Maggz was born into a large family of 11. Alongside her late father, her mother leveraged her nursing career and entrepreneurial flair to put all 11 children through school and almost all of them through university. She also has a fraternal twin, “Phina”, cofounder of New Jerusalem Childrens Home and Corporate Social Investment Consultant.
She also serves as a board member of several companies where she also Chairs one of of the Committees in Managed Health Care.
Based on her dynamic life story and her multi faceted life experiences, she is now on track to author two inspirational books on her life’s work and the various journeys she has traversed to become the person she is today.
